Deepa ShahDeepa graduated with Honours from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ School of Dentistry in 2005.

Immediately after graduation she worked for a year in the Community Dental Service, focusing on the management of phobic patients, medically compromised patients and those with special needs, and children. She then spent a year at Guy’s Dental Hospital as a Senior House Officer in the fields of Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine. During this time, alongside her clinical practice, Deepa continued her postgraduate education and in 2007 she successfully gained membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Deepa then spent 2 years in general practice in Melbourne, Australia. She returned to the UK and enrolled onto a full-time Masters’ programme in Conservative Dentistry at the world renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. She graduated with distinction.

Deepa has spent time working within hospital, general and specialist practice settings. She has gained a wealth of experience from working alongside experienced practitioners and leaders in their fields. Her interests now lie within the disciplines of minimally invasive dentistry, prosthodontics (crowns/bridges/dentures), implant dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.

In addition to her clinical practice, Deepa is a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, where she lectures and supervises practical hands-on courses for postgraduate dental students. She lectures widely within the UK, and has published several papers, related primarily to her clinical work.
